I'm delighted to have been awarded First Prize at The Open [3] exhibition held at Salford Museum and Art Gallery. The biennial exhibition was open to artists working in any medium who live, work, study or were born in Salford. It takes place in the North Gallery and started in 2018.
I felt very honoured to have been selected to display two works at the show - 'What's happening in this world?' and 'A walk on the prom', let alone be awarded 1st prize!
Thank you very much to the judges and the organisers for arranging a wonderfully diverse and inspirational exhibition in their stunning gallery space. Many thanks for my prize too, it really is appreciated.
Congratulations to all the other selected artists and winners, there were some beautiful works on display. The exhibition, which has been on display for the last 3 months, closed this weekend following the awards presentation.
I look forward to collecting the winning artworks later this week and hope they go on to find loving homes in the future.
