My art work “They Shall Not Grow Old" has recently won first prize in the Salford Creative Communities Competition. It is being displayed at the new Swinton Gateway until the 21st November 2015. The topic was Remembrance. In light of this I wanted to create my own artwork documenting this significant and interesting topic. The poppy is a symbol of remembrance and the importance of peace and hope. The title for my work is a line from the famous poem 'For the Fallen' written by
